Start the new year off right with these minimally designed wall calendars. I just snagged a set of the astrology ones and can hardly wait to frame and hang them in my kitchen.

[graphics] table wine...

Posted on | 26 August 2010 | 2 Comments

These wine bottles designed by Rethink Communications are too good. Focusing on the concept of "table wine", they've used iconic table styles on their packaging. Now that's clever...

My favorite is, not surprisingly, the Saarinen table. And the bottle itself looks perfect for communal outdoor dining.

[graphics] studio round...

Posted on | 24 August 2010 | 2 Comments

I'm completely smitten with the work of Studio Round. They churn out the type of design I dream of doing; clean, modern, timeless and completely captivating.

It was near impossible to choose one project I liked best, but their print publication for Broadsheet really stood out to me. It's all about the images and clean, prominent type.

spotted visual designer, caleb owen everitt's portfolio via kt the other day and the simplicity of his designs really spoke to me. i'm finding myself drawn more and more to product design in its rawest form, implementing only basic fonts and illustrations to get a message across.
