united states artists event

had such a great time at the united states artists celebration on monday night. it was so inspiring to be among so many talented artists from completely different disciplines and backgrounds. the performances were fantastic and the crowd was filled with several noteworthy folks (frank gehry and herbie hancock, to name a few). i can't wait to see what other exciting ventures develop from this organization - they are definitely on to something. check out their website for more info.

particularly moving was a puppetry performance by one of the grant recipients, basil twist, that really brought out the child in me.
