they call me mellow yellow

i'm all for choosing a color scheme and running with it, but i think this explosion of yellow is a little much. but the reason i chose this picture was because of the overall space plan of the room, despite the color palette. i've been steering further and further away from creamy yellow lately as it tends to go very french country, but maybe in small doses it can be effective (i.e. lamp bases & accent pillows).
